Custom Box and Mailer Printing

Custom Box and Mailer Printing

Custom box printing is a type of personalized box that is designed for the shipment of products and parcels.

Transforming Packaging into a Brand Experience

Custom box printing involves adding a business's name, address, or logo directly onto a box's surface during production. In most cases, this information will include the business’s logo and colors, as well as important product information. All businesses are able to use custom box printing, as both small and large businesses are able to create custom branded boxes. Companies that use custom box printing create unique packaging that can help promote their brand, while participants who use custom box printing can create packaging that is more customized to their business’s needs. Custom packaging with logo printing can send an instant signal of the brand identity and level of quality associated with that specific business.

Types of Printing Coverage

We provide printing coverage options according to the size of the box being printed, along with the type of box being created.

Outside-only printing

Outside-only printing

You can put your entire brand on the exterior of the box if only outside printing is used. This is the most common way many businesses attempt to maintain a clean and professional look while keeping costs under control. The visible areas of the box include logos, company colors, and marketing messages printed on them so they can be recognized before the box is opened. This is a preferred option for companies focused on outward visibility and a durable product.

Printing limited to the outside of your box provides a clean and professional first impression for your recipients, while being especially effective for companies looking to maximize their brand visibility while maintaining efficiency when they ship product by the truckload. Outside-only printed boxes are not seen until they arrive at the destination, but they are printed so they can showcase the company's brand message from the very beginning. As a result, outside-only printed boxes build recognition of a brand before a box is ever opened, building customer trust.

Designing Your Custom Printed Boxes

1- Die-Line Support

Through die-line support, we can assist in producing a template for a box that is specifically measured and has a folding pattern to match exactly that of the box you desire to create.

2- File Formats Accepted (AI, PDF)

To expedite production, we only accept artwork files in standard formats or, in the case of Adobe Illustrator (AI), and PDF, which are utilized by the majority of the printing industry.

3- Color Mode (CMYK)

As best practice, the packaging industry utilizes the color mode (CMYK) which produces an optimal color for printing any type of full colour graphics, including logos and graphics that are complex, and produces a vibrant quality finish that closely aligns with the colours used to represent your organization.

4- Print Approval Process

The print approval process is made available before the start of the production of a box and allows for verification that your design, colours, and placement are as you intend them to be; thus giving you confidence that the completed boxes will meet your expectations by significantly reducing the chance of error.

Quality Control and Consistency

Color Consistency

The color of your branding is an integral part of your overall marketing strategy. To ensure that we maintain the consistency of your color from multiple production runs, we are very vigilant in monitoring the color of every production run. Whether you are using logos, graphics, or color images in your packaging materials, we make sure to match the exact shade of the finished product to the approved design for brand identity.

Print Alignment

In professional packaging, precise alignment of print elements is a key consideration. In order to avoid off-center logos, off-center graphics, or crooked text and ensure that all of the major elements are correctly aligned, we closely monitor the alignment of all print elements during the production process. As a result of our attention to detail, you can be assured that your finished packaging will look polished and premium, even on products with complex shapes or folds.

Material Inspection

Material inspections are conducted for every type of material used in the production of corrugated cardboards, Kraft boards, or speciality materials, to verify the thickness, strength, and durability of all materials used. During our inspection process for material quality, we ensure that your packaging materials meet the minimum structural standards for shipping, protection, and display.

Final Quality Checks

After performing the inspection, we make sure that the quality of your packaging materials is sufficient to provide a high level of protection for your product during transit.
Before we ship any boxes from our facility, we complete final quality checks for all of our production. The purpose of final quality checks is to verify that all boxes have met or exceeded our quality assurance standards.

Frequently Asked Question

We've answered all the common questions you may have before ordering a custom box.

Do you print inside and outside of the box?

Yes. You have the option of printing either one side (exterior) or two sides (interior) of a paper box. If you want to give potential customers visibility immediately, choose to print your brand's name, logo, etc. on the exterior. If you want to provide customers with a personalized message, colorful graphic design, or social media links for increasing engagement during the unboxing experience, choose to print those items on the inside of the box.

Which method of printing is most appropriate for my order size?

The right printing method for your order quantity depends on your volume and budget.
Short run orders: If you only have a few items to print, digital printing will provide you with the best value. Digital printing does not require expensive plate preparation for small volumes and provides highly detailed, vivid, full-color designs.
Long run orders: If you're going to be producing a large quantity of boxes for retail or other applications, flexographic and offset printing offer the lowest unit price and consistency of color from unit to unit, making them the preferred method for volume production.

Are there any restrictions on the size of the boxes?

Yes, we do offer custom sizing options for our boxes. Custom boxes can be manufactured to your specifications, and this means that the custom-size box will protect your product better than a standard-size box will. In addition to this, custom-sized boxes can save you money on shipping by reducing both the size and weight of the packages that you are sending.

Are there any environmentally friendly or sustainable options for packaging materials available through your company?

Yes, we do offer environmentally friendly or sustainable packaging materials for our customers. We have many options for sustainable packaging materials, such as recycled corrugated cardboard and Kraft Paper. The inks that we use are also environmentally friendly. If you are looking to create beautiful packaging that is 100% recyclable or compostable, we would love to help you.

What do I do if my boxes arrive damaged?

We package your order with great care, but if any of the items from your order are damaged, please reach out to our Customer Support team within 48 hours of receiving your order. Please be sure to send photos of the damaged box and item(s), and we will do our best to replace them or give you a credit as soon as possible.
